about

Field Recordings of the journey to and from Tresco on the Isles of Scilly, plus recordings on the island. In 2014 the coastal railway track at Dawlish was washed away by the sea. As a result, Cornwall became an inaccessible island. As I travelled home to Brighton from Scilly, the twin prop plane landed in Newquay (rather than Land's End, which had also been badly damaged by the storms). I took a bus to Plymouth, then a train to Portsmouth. Unfortunately it was past midnight and there was no onward transportation from Portsmouth, so I walked from the city centre 10 miles to Havant to see if I could catch a bus to Chichester. The latter part of this collection documents the dawn bird song during this walk.

This collection is arranged in chronological order.
